MSI Issues Official Fix for 'Blue Screen of Death' Error Tied to Windows 11 Update

MSI is addressing the Blue Screen of Death issue in Windows

MSI has released new updates to resolve the Blue Screen of Death issue on Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems. This problem was occurring on computers using MSI motherboards with Intel processors from the 600 and 700 series, as well as on other devices with motherboards from different manufacturers.

The issue caused the operating system to crash, displaying the Blue Screen of Death and an "Unsupported Processor" message, indicating a processor incompatibility.

MSI was able to identify the root cause of the problem, which was related to Intel's Hybrid Architecture system technology.

The problem primarily affected computers with Intel Core i9 processors from the thirteenth generation and the installation of the latest updates for Windows 10 and Windows 11. This issue can be avoided by installing the new update released by MSI, which targets the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS).

Currently, this update is primarily aimed at motherboards featuring Intel processors from the 600 and 700 series, and it is expected to expand to include other models in the future.

Initially, Microsoft had placed blame on computer component manufacturers when the issue was discovered, suggesting that the problem was related to the hardware itself rather than Windows updates.
